Dash on: Hugely popular Warrior Dash to return to Flint area in 2012
Anyone who participated in Warrior Dash, spectator or competitor, could certainly see the powerful economic impact of such a large-scale event in our community. In short, there were people everywhere on Saturday and Sunday in northern Genesee County. And as much as we appreciated the shot in the arm, I think pretty much everyone involved hoped Genesee County would become a home to Warrior Dash for years to come.
The huge success of the 2011 Warrior Dash will be returning to Genesee County in 2012.
Race officials made that announcement Sunday. Thousands climbed ropes, jumped fire, and rolled in the mud in Genesee Township over the weekend. More than 24,000 people took part in the Warrior Dash at the E.M. Cummings Center at Genesee County Parks.
