An additional 8 miles of mountain biking trails are now available on the Wilderness Trail, surrounding McGinnis Lake Campground. * snowmobile areas allowed with 4" of snow or more on the ground. Day-users will find a picnic area, two shelters, a swimming area, playgrounds, and horse shoe pits on Big Fish Lake. Seven Lakes State Park is also the site of an annual hot air balloon festival in July hosted by Capt. Phogg Balloon Rides. * Seven Lakes Modern Campground: 70 sites. * hunting in most areas of the park for deer, turkey, waterfowl, rabbit, and squirrel. * playground area. * swimming with beach house area. * fishing for bluegill, bass, pike, tiger muskie and catfish. * canoe/row boat/paddle boat rentals, and your-motor-on boats available from mid-May through mid-September. * picnic tables and fire pits/grills. Big Seven Lake is 170 acres with a boat launch, concession for snacks, beach, restrooms, and changing courts. There are picnic areas with horseshoes, volleyball, and playground equipment, which can be used on a first-come-first-served basis. Dickinson Lake, the second largest lake at 44 acres, provides another boat launch and a floating pier used for fishing. A rustic picnic shelter with large grills, playground equipment, horseshoe pits, volleyball, and basketball. * five rentable picnic shelters are available, one being ADA accessible. For reservations contact the park. * hiking on over 6.5 miles of clearly marked trails criss-cross the entire park. * mountain biking on a 5 mile trail. This trail system is also used by hikers, cross country skiers, and snowmobilers. * snowmobiling allowed with 4" of snow or more on the ground.
